Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Survivors’ Helpline now offers live call hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (ET). The expansion to the free, confidential peer support resource adds 35 additional hours for women with all types of breast cancer to speak directly with volunteers who have been through or are living with similar diagnoses.

The Butterfly Ball is Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s® (LBBC) annual gala, our signature fall event that raises funds crucial to fulfilling our mission to empower all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. This year, we celebrated our 20th anniversary and used the gala as an evening of tribute to LBBC’s 20 years of service. The Butterfly Ball presents: Club 20 was the theme, and over 500 guests raised over $500,000 for LBBC's education and support programs.
Living Beyond Breast Cancer's national expansion initiative for Yoga on the Steps® kicked off in Washington, DC, where we hosted the signature fundraising event Oct. 16 on the steps of Freedom Plaza, one of DC's greatest landmarks. With the support of team and individual donations and corporate sponsorships, Yoga on the Steps: Washington, DC surpassed its fundraising goal, raising almost $55,000 for LBBC education initiatives.
On May 15, over 1,000 participants graced the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art for an inspiring yoga class led by yoga instructor Jennifer Schelter. This was the first year that Jennifer invited 10 women affected by breast cancer to give a testimonial of their breast cancer experience and why events like Yoga on the Steps are influential in their recovery process.
On the last weekend in February, nearly 800 women gathered at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Florida, for the Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer (C4YW) to learn more about the challenges they face. The warmth and genuine embrace of the participants had a lasting impact on their journeys to recovery.
Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s (LBBC) annual fall conference, News You Can Use: Breast Cancer Updates for Living Well, incorporated innovative elements to help women find comfort in laughter, fulfillment and life beyond a breast cancer diagnosis. Over 300 conference participants left the conference with a new meaning of living well.
