Living Beyond Breast Cancer to Help Women Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer Cope with Emotions

Interview Opportunity

WHAT: Neal Niznan, LCSW, will discuss Advanced Breast Cancer: Coping with Changing Emotions at an upcoming meeting hosted by Living Beyond Breast Cancer. After being diagnosed with advanced (metastatic) breast cancer, many women experience feelings of fear and uncertainty. Mr. Niznan will address those feelings, help participants understand where they come from and provide helpful coping strategies. Participants will also learn how to discuss difficult topics with family and friends, as well as find out how and where to get additional support.

Mr. Niznan is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 13 years of experience in the oncology field. He currently works in the department of radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and has a private practice for individual, couple and family therapy. He specializes in helping people manage the emotional impact of cancer.
