WHAT: Kathryn Noble, MSW, LCSW, will discuss Navigating the System: What You Need to Know at an upcoming meeting hosted by Living Beyond Breast Cancer. She will talk about how patient navigators and social workers can help women overcome the medical, emotional and financial challenges of breast cancer and access information about diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. Ms. Noble will also show participants how to get answers to their financial and health insurance concerns in order to improve their quality of life.
Ms. Noble is an outpatient oncology social worker at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Her research interest is oncology, and she has been active in both state and national oncology social work organizations. Ms. Noble has served on the faculty for the Association of Oncology Social Work Annual Conference and as a board member and conference chair of the Florida Society of Oncology Social Workers. She is experienced in planning programs for young adults diagnosed with cancer working with those affected by head and neck cancer and facilitating a peer support program for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
