$1.00 from the sale of each PINK WINE to benefit LBBC

October 2012

During the month of October, Black Walnut Winery, Borderland Winery, Penns Woods Winery and Twin Brook Winery will be donating $1 from the purchase of their PINK WINES to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Black Walnut Winery

Black Walnut Winery is located in an over 200-year-old bank barn in Chester County, Pennsylvania. They have renovated the facility for wine tasting and events, but kept the old world feel to reflect the historic craft of wine making.

Sassy 2009

This blush is a blend of red and white wines that has a crisp flavor with a touch of residual sugar. The soft body, slight fruit flavors and bright finish make this a perfect wine to enjoy year round.

Blanc Franc 2008

This true rosé presents soft upfront aromas of strawberry and apple. The flavor progresses from peach with hints of strawberry to crisp apple. This complex wine has a long, smooth finish.

Iridescence 2009

Iridescence is a soft flavored, refreshing wine that shows a light aroma of melons. This blush wine has approximately 3 percent residual sugar with highlights of melon and apricot flavors. This wine is best served chilled and pairs fantastically with flavorful cheeses and fragrant mildly spicy foods like Thai or Creole.

Borderland Vineyard

Borderland Vineyard, located in Landenberg, Pa., is the newest member of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. While waiting for its own vineyard to mature, Borderland has launched its wine business with the 2011 vintage by making wine with grapes from other local growers.

Sheared Sheep Blush

This is a dry, French-style rosé that's 100 percent Merlot.

Penns Woods Winery

Penns Woods Winery is a family-run Pennsylvania winery. Winemaker Gino Razzi and his daughter, Carley, produce award-winning wines from 100 percent Pennsylvania-grown grapes. Their tasting room sits on a 30-acre property overlooking their vineyards and is conveniently located off of 202, just 15 minutes from Wilmington, Del. and 35 minutes from Philadelphia, Pa.

White Merlot 2011

Strawberry and peach dance on the nose of this wine. On the palate apricot joins the fray among hints of vanilla and pear. The wine's pink hue elicits thoughts of blooming roses in spring. This white merlot has the soul of a full red with the body of a light white.

Bancroft Rose NV

This beautiful wine is Merlot based. White peaches, strawberry, and kiwi jump off the nose and continue through the palate. Smooth, sweet and easy to drink. Enjoy after a meal or anytime!

Twin Brook Winery

A 67 acre retreat for the senses nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Pennsylvania. Taste our family of fine wines, including varietals made from vinifera and hybrid grapes as well as delicate blends.

2011 Vidal Reserve

A sweeter, medium bodied white with hints of pear and floral in the nose and ripe melon flavors.
