Dating is challenging enough without the physical, emotional and lifestyle changes of breast cancer. After a breast cancer diagnosis, how do you navigate new relationships, establish effective communication and decide if and when to share your cancer experience with a potential partner?
Kathryn Noble, LCSW, an oncology clinical social worker with seven years of experience guiding people with cancer, discusses:
- anticipate the physical, emotional and social challenges of dating after breast cancer
- build trust and effective communication in a new relationship
- decide if and when you want to share your cancer experience with your potential partner
This meeting will address a variety of dating situations ranging from a new breast cancer diagnosis to living with metastatic breast cancer. It is open to people of all sexual orientations. After Ms. Noble’s talk, you will have time to ask questions, connect with others and enjoy a light dinner and refreshments.
