About Our Speaker
Dr. Sledge is the Ballve-Lantero Professor of Oncology at Indiana University, where he co-directs Indiana University Simon Cancer Center’s Breast Cancer Program. His research focuses on new treatments for breast cancer, in particular anti-angiogenic therapies (treatments designed to prevent the development of new blood vessels in human cancers). He serves as chair of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group’s breast cancer committee and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s board of directors.
