When you are newly diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, the more you know, the more you will understand your diagnosis, treatment options and emotions. During LBBC’s free December community meeting, Jennifer Armstrong, MD, discussed:

  • Assembling your healthcare team, how initial treatment options will be determined and monitored and how changes to treatment will be made over time
  • Side effects you may experience and how to talk with your providers about maintaining quality of life in your everyday work, hobbies and lifestyle
  • Common emotions you may feel, how to manage your initial feelings and strategies for navigating changing emotions over time
