About Our Speaker
Carey K. Anders, MD, is a clinician-scientist and assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She is a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UNC Breast Center, as well as national associations and organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium and NCI Breast Cancer Metastases Working Group.
Her clinical efforts focus on care for women with breast cancer, particularly young women and those who develop brain metastasis. She is a translational researcher who designs both preclinical laboratory experiments and clinical trials to more effectively treat women with advanced triple-negative breast cancer.
She has received honors and awards for her dedication to the practice of medicine and has published many articles on breast cancer.
