About Our Speaker

Shoshi Barkai, MS, RD, is a registered dietician with 15 years of experience developing and facilitating weight loss programs specifically for women. Ms. Barkai has training and experience in project coordination, individual counseling, group counseling and program development and holds dual masters’ degrees in nutritional sciences and exercise physiology. For the past six years, she has worked as clinical trial coordinator for a research group at University of California, San Diego, aiming to help participants achieve and maintain a healthier weight through better nutrition and exercise. Ms. Barkai is currently coordinating the ENERGY trial (Exercise and Nutrition to Enhance Recovery and Good health for You), a multicenter weight loss trial involving women diagnosed with breast cancer.
