About Our Speaker
Andrea V. Barrio, MD, FACS, is the attending breast surgeon and associate program director of the breast fellowship at Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Comprehensive Breast Center. She researches accelerated partial breast irradiation for early-stage breast cancer and prevention of lymphedema. She also studies methods to detect lymphedema at an earlier stage and prevent its progression. Dr. Barrio is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
