About Our Speakers

Liza C. Wu, MD, FACS, is an associate professor in the division of plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. She is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in reconstruction of parts of the body affected by cancer. Through Dr. Wu’s research, she aims to improve the current surgical techniques used in breast reconstruction. She is an innovator of new techniques that have proved to decrease potential complications and improve aesthetic outcomes. She is also interested in current trends in breast reconstruction and the impact of gene testing on a woman’s decision to undergo mastectomy and reconstruction.

Mandy Sauler has been in the tattoo industry for more than 17 years. She has earned a reputation for being a fine-line artist because of her natural abilities to create smooth and steady lines and her attention to detail. After becoming interested in permanent cosmetics and medical tattooing, Ms. Sauler trained at the Florida College of Natural Health. She has specialized in micropigmentation for 7 years. She received her board certification from the American Academy of Micropigmentation and is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Her additional certifications are in pain control, safety effectiveness, and blood-borne pathogens. She has worked with women from a broad range of ethnicities with differences in skin tone, age and skin type.
