Join Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) for a remarkable evening of tribute to LBBC's 20 years of service. The Butterfly Ball has taken new flight, and this year the event encourages all guests to embrace the new look and feel as we present: Club 20. For almost 20 years, LBBC has made a mark on breast cancer history and now services over 60,000 women who are in need of breast cancer resources and support. At Club 20, LBBC will announce its plans for a year-long celebration to recognize 20 years of service to women and families affected by breast cancer – using The Butterfly Ball as the anniversary’s official kick off.
This year's Going Beyond Honorees have had an instrumental impact on the direction that LBBC has taken over the last two decades. Ann Ricksecker, Mark Plamondon, Lynn Marks, Mit Joyner and Lisa Bayard have all served as chairs on LBBC's board of directors, and their leadership has been evident through LBBC's innovation throughout its history in the breast cancer movement. LBBC's very own Jean Sachs, MSS, MLSP, CEO of Living Beyond Breast Cancer, will be presented with LBBC’s top honor: The Founder’s Award. The event's co-chairs feature community entrepreneurs and medical professionals including Maureen & Nathan Doron, Karen & Christopher Gagnier, David Hall & Creg Oosterhart and Jennifer & Albert Simmons.
Prepare for an event behind the velvet rope for Club 20 – where everyone is a VIP. LBBC’s 20th Anniversary Celebration will begin with dramatic flair when the doors of PÊCHE at Sherman Mills are opened to reveal a dazzling transformation created by Evantine Design. As the festivities continue, Club 20 VIPs will mix and mingle with other LBBC supporters or relax in innovative assortments of lounges and seating options while strolling and sampling from cuisine stations filled with delicious tapas style foods prepared by the incomparable Peachtree & Ward. Then, celebrants will be invited to participate in a special presentation to commemorate 20 years of LBBC leadership and service before dancing the night away to the sounds of Philadelphia’s favorite DJ - the Geator with the Heater - Jerry Blavat.
The funds LBBC will raise at The Butterfly Ball are crucial to fulfill our mission to empower all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. LBBC is nationally recognized for our programs and services, which are as varied as the women and healthcare professionals who benefit from them. The Butterfly Ball is one of our most important fundraising events, and your support allows LBBC to continue to provide programs to anyone in need.
