Where:   Loews Philadelphia Hotel

On Saturday, November 10, 2012, Living Beyond Breast Cancer will host a remarkable evening as we present our annual fundraising black-tie gala, The Butterfly Ball. Taking place at the  Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Center City, the Butterfly Ball guest list will include some of the region’s most influential business and social leaders.

For 21 years, LBBC has helped define the journey after a breast cancer diagnosis by providing one-of-a-kind educational resources and support services for women, their families and their caregivers. The money raised at The Butterfly Ball funds these services so that they can always be provided at little or no cost.

By attending the gala, you will:

  • Help raise more money than ever to continue programs like our  toll-free Survivors’ Helpline large-scale conferences and free teleconferences and the production of our expanding programs and  publications
  • Enjoy an evening at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Center City that will treat nearly 600 of Philadelphia's business and social leaders to spectacular views, exquisite food and dancing
  • Bid in a limited auction full of one-of-a-kind items and a drawing featuring dozens of fabulous prizes

Presented by long-time LBBC supporter  White House | Black Market, The 2012 Butterfly Ball is co-chaired by Beth and Steven Haas, Jeanne and Sam Pace, Liz and Stephen Raynes and Nicole and James Robinson.

During the event, Stephanie Lawrence, Tyesha Love and Jackie Roth will each be presented with LBBC’s Going Beyond Award. Debra Somers Copit, MD, will be recognized with ourorganization’s highest accolade, The Founders Award.

In addition to spectacular views of downtown Philadelphia, a sumptuous dinner and dancing, you will have the opportunity to bid on an amazing selection of items that will be featured in both a live and silent auction format. You will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a Harry Winston Avenue C ladies’ timepiece courtesy of Govberg Jewelers, or a one-year /10,000 mile lease on your choice of a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC or a 2012 GLK350 4MATIC from our friends at Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington and West Chester. Chances may also be requested online if you are unable to attend the event.

Funds raised at The Butterfly Ball are crucial to fulfill LBBC's mission to empower all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. LBBC is nationally recognized for our programs and services, which are as varied as the women and healthcare professionals who benefit from them. The Butterfly Ball is one of our most important fundraising events, and your support allows LBBC to continue to provide programs to anyone in need.

This year's Fund-a-Need effort will benefit the  Cis B. Golder Quality of Life Grant, a program that provides small grants to women affected by breast cancer in the five-county Philadelphia area.
