On Saturday October 12, 2013, White House | Black Market will present LBBC’s annual black-tie gala, The Butterfly Ball. Event co-chairs, Jeanne and Mike Egan, Donna and Barry Feinberg, Lynn and Joe Manko and Kristin and John McDonald along with the gala committee invite you to join them and LBBC supporters from around the country for an unforgettable night at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. During the event, Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall Blake, Amy Lessack, Marni Manko and Susannah Wolf will be presented with our Going Beyond Award, which recognizes individuals who have used their personal experience with breast cancer to help others. The highlight of the evening’s festivities will be the presentation of LBBC’s highest honor, The Founders Award, to Ellyn Golder Saft and her father Robert Golder, recognizing their commitment to and compassion for women undergoing treatment, in recovery or managing their disease following a breast cancer diagnosis.
The Butterfly Ball is one of LBBC’s most important fundraising events of the year. The generosity of our corporate and individual supporters are an important financial resource that helps allow LBBC to fulfill its mission to connect people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support.
