Robert Cook-Deegan, MD

Robert Cook-Deegan, MD, is a research professor and director of Genome Ethics, Law and Policy at the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy in Durham, N.C. Prior to joining Duke, Dr. Cook-Deegan was director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellowship Program at the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences. He has served as a researcher in several capacities throughout his career and is the author of over 200 articles and the book The Gene Wars: Science, Politics and the Human Genome.
