Bert M. Petersen, Jr., MD, FACS
Dr. Petersen is attending physician in the department of surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals. He is director of the family risk program at Beth Israel's Medical Center, where he is responsible for clinical surveillance and genetic counseling for women at risk for breast disease and ovarian cancer. He is assistant professor of surgery at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Petersen is deeply committed to eliminating racial disparities in cancer through educating minority women about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
