The Step by Step research study is currently recruiting women affected by breast cancer for a free, 12-week walking program facilitated online. The study’s researchers want to learn whether the program can help motivate those affected by breast cancer to exercise regularly.
What does the study involve?
The study is designed for all those diagnosed with breast cancer who have completed primary treatment and want to start a 12-week, walking routine.
Throughout the duration of the Step by Step program, participants are sent weekly e-mails designed to motivate them to reach their exercise goals. If you participate in this study, you will be sent a free pedometer-like device, the FitBit, to help you track and monitor your activity including your steps taken, distance traveled and calories burned.
Participation in this study is free.
