Angelique Collins has been active in the breast cancer community in Stuttgart, Germany since her diagnosis. She is a Washington native and a University of Washington alumna and avid Huskies fan. Angelique has worked in the education field for the past 15 years.
Angelique was young and healthy at the time of her diagnosis. She was shocked at the speed at which the tumor grew, and overwhelmed with information she received, the choices she had to make, and the task of making her ideal treatment a reality. She learned about Living Beyond Breast Cancer and it resonated with her as an organization that effectively served many populations.
Angelique has been active in various breast cancer efforts, but she says “none have had the broad reach and ability to create an informative and interactive experience for survivors as well as LBBC.” She has lost many people to breast cancer, and this has strengthened her resolve to ensure that every person finds a community and a path to life beyond breast cancer.
Angelique enjoys swimming and running. Cooking is also a favorite pastime: She loves making dinner for friends. In her free time she is a voracious reader who enjoys discovering new authors.
