Since joining Tierney in 1999, Denise has built a client base in healthcare, education, professional services and nonprofit organizations. She has created and directed communications programs for industry thought leaders including The Pew Charitable Trusts, Drexel University’s Earle Mack School of Law, The Sidney Kimmel Foundation for Cancer Research, Fox Chase Cancer Center, The Wellness Community, Independence Blue Cross and The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia. Denise has developed PR and investor relations programs for a number of biotech firms including Immunicon Corp., Med-Design Corporation, Adolor Corporation, Layton BioScience and Anthrogenesis Corporation. She has also worked in legal marketing with boutique firms Lamb McErlane PC and Deeb, Petrakis, Blum & Murphy PC.

A graduate of Brown University, Denise began her career as a journalist, first at the Associated Press in Philadelphia and then as a reporter for the York (PA) Daily Record. She served as senior news officer for the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and as senior account manager for Julie Davis Associates in Atlanta, Georgia.

Denise serves as a vice president of the board of trustees of the Jewish Publication Society. She is a member of the International Visitor’s Council of Philadelphia and the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and an advisory board member of the Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy. She has provided pro bono counsel to organizations including the Nathaniel Adamczyk Foundation for childhood ARDS and Living Beyond Breast Cancer and has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
