Carla S. Fisher, MD

Carla S. Fisher, MD is medical director of breast surgical oncology and an associate professor of surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. In the past, Dr. Fisher served as an assistant professor of surgery at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, and as an instrumental component to the surgical staff at Philadelphia VA Medical Center.

While in Pennsylvania, Dr. Fisher held several leadership positions, including associate clerkship director for the medical student surgery rotation, and fellowship director for the breast fellowship program. She was a part of the clinical competency committee, which was designed to help evaluate residents in regard to ACGME milestones, and sat on the clinical trials review committee for the cancer center. Dr. Fisher has authored over 20 publications
