Jessica Betts

Associate Director, Development

As associate director of development, Jessica is responsible for assisting in creating and executing fundraising strategies in support of LBBC’s mission. This includes the execution of our organization’s signature fundraising events, Living Beyond Breast Cancer's Reach & Raise, and the annual gala The Butterfly Ball. In this role, Jessica also facilitates the alignment of all aspects of LBBC’s advancement department’s activities to reinforce the effectiveness of strategic, annual work plans and goals. She also develops strategies for national expansion of development and fundraising efforts, including Yoga on the Steps, the Do It Yourself events and other grassroots marketing and team fundraising efforts.

Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in history from Haverford College. She has more than 10 years of experience helping public-private and nonprofit organizations develop and execute fundraising events, grow membership and sponsorship, engage donors and volunteers. Before joining LBBC, Jessie worked for 13 years at Prospect Park Alliance in Brooklyn, New York, where she served as director of fundraising events.

After a 20-year absence from the greater Philadelphia area, Jessie is delighted to be working on the Main Line and living in Center City. A frequent visitor to City of Brotherly Love before her relocation here, she enjoys talking about and eating (but not cooking) food; seriously consuming and analyzing pop culture; visiting friends across the US; and competitive reading.
