Michael J. Baime, MD
Michael J. Baime, MD, is the founder and director of the Penn Program for Mindfulness and director of Mind-Body Programs for the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He is also a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Baime’s research focuses on mindfulness meditation and its uses in hospital and care settings. He studies how mindfulness meditation impacts patient care and how it can be used to treat obesity, ADHD, multiple sclerosis and cancer-related insomnia. Since 1992, the Penn Program for Mindfulness has trained more than 10,000 people in mindfulness-based stress management.
