Pamela Joyce Shapiro, PhD, is an adjunct assistant professor in the department of psychology at Temple University and an assistant research professor at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her research focuses on understanding the causes of cancer-related cognitive change and the impact of these cognitive difficulties on quality of life. Her goal is to implement a step-by-step program of research examining psychosocial, biological and clinical factors that contribute to negative changes in cognitive function, and to develop strategies to improve cognition and quality of life in people affected by cancer.
