Christine A. Ware, MEd

Manager, Database Strategy and Administration

Christine's job is to oversee the databases at LBBC and to manage the tools we use to send out emails and register people for events.

Christine received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, her Master’s Degree from Temple University, and earned a certificate in computer programming from The Chubb Institute. She has a long history of nonprofit work. Prior to joining LBBC she held the position of fundraising operations manager at WXPN, a public radio station in Philadelphia, where she managed their database and online fundraising and e-marketing tools.

Christine is active in the Philadelphia Blackbaud User Group (PBUG), an independent group of nonprofit database and fundraising professionals. She is very interested in how nonprofits can leverage technology to better serve their constituents.

Christine loves trying new restaurants, supporting local musicians and theatres, exploring ethnic cuisines, playing tabletop games and drinking freshly-ground, locally-roasted coffees.

What inspires my work at LBBC:My mother has always supported nonprofits, both financially and through volunteering. Aligning my career with my values is something that grows from how she lives her life. Working at Living Beyond Breast Cancer is especially resonant as my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer three times.

My favorite quote to live by: "I chose, and my world was shaken - so what?
The choice may have been mistaken, the choosing was not.
You have to move on."
~ Stephen Sondheim
