Elizabeth Mairs, MSed
Elizabeth is responsible for managing and executing special events activities to achieve fundraising goals and strategies of LBBC, to increase overall support and expand the overall donor base. She implements and manages our fundraising events, including our signature fundraising events, Living Beyond Breast Cancer's Reach & Raise and the Butterfly Ball. Elizabeth also works with other members of the Advancement Department to develop and execute marketing and communications for special events, monitor the success of activities and identify opportunities for enhancement and expansion of special events that help increase attendance and philanthropic support.
Elizabeth has nearly 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor stewardship. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Temple University and her master’s degree in school and mental health counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked at WXPN 88.5 FM, the University of Pennsylvania’s non-commercial public radio station, for more than eight years in member benefits and services. Before joining LBBC, Elizabeth was the station’s Membership Manager.
Elizabeth is thrilled to be working at LBBC combining her development and fundraising event experience with her degree work educating and supporting those in need throughout the Philadelphia area and nationwide. Elizabeth spends her free time running and doing yoga, seeing live music and spending quality time with her husband.
What inspires my work at LBBC:My work is inspired by knowing that my work funds, creates and maintains the important programs and resources LBBC provides which in turn positively affect the lives of those diagnosed with breast cancer.
