As Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Helpline Coordinator, Melissa is responsible for connecting constituents with trusted informational resources and matching them with trained peers to provide emotional support during their journey.
Melissa comes to LBBC after volunteering with Reach and Raise for a number of years. With a varied background, she has ten years of education, supervisory, medical and call center experience. Prior working for LBBC, Melissa worked for J. Reckner Associates, a Market Research firm as their Medical Call Center Supervisor. She holds a degree in education, medical training and is advancing her studies in psychology at Penn State Berks.
When Melissa is not in the office she can be found on her Yoga mat leading a class, reading, working in her garden, or making a craft with her children. She loves to travel.
What inspires my work at LBBC:
“Cancer has personally touched my family. It is my mission to lend support to others who are lives have been affected, and support organizations that are seeking a cure.”
