Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Young Survival Coalition will host the 10th Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer from Friday, February 26, through Sunday, February 28, 2010, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. About Our Keynote Speakers

Julie R. Gralow, MD, will begin the weekend by providing a medical update specific to young women affected by breast cancer. Dr. Gralow is a professor of medical oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and director of breast medical oncology at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Our second keynote speaker is Julia H. Rowland, PhD, director of the Office of Cancer Survivorship, Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at the National Cancer Institute. She will discuss Young Women with Breast Cancer: Living Fully is the Best Revenge. Our closing plenary speaker is Kim Carlos, co-author of Nordies at Noon—the Personal Stories of Four Women "Too Young" for Breast Cancer .

About the Program

Workshops will cover a range of issues, including risk reduction and management of lymphedema, nutrition, exercise, side-effect management, medical updates for early and advanced breast cancer, fertility, sexuality, body image, genetic testing, living long term with a history of breast cancer, advocacy and caregiving. During breaks and receptions, you will have the opportunity to network with other young women, caregivers and healthcare providers.
