Yoga Class Memorializes Rachel Levin Troxell

Join a monthly yoga class at LifeSport Fitness in Philadelphia to support LBBC

Members of LifeSport Fitness in Philadelphia invite you to a monthly yoga class celebrating the life of Rachel Levin Troxell, founder of LympheDIVAs. The class is held at 6:00 p.m. the first Friday of every month. A $5 minimum entrance fee goes to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Rachel, who passed away from breast cancer in January 2008, studied yoga at LifeSport. Along with other therapies, Rachel used yoga to manage the lymphedema she developed after breast cancer surgery. She talked with her classmates about her then-fledgling business, LympheDIVAs, which offers fashionable and comfortable compression garments, a must for women affected by lymphedema. Rachel inspired the women with her warmth and commitment to improving the lives of others.

Rachel’s friends lost touch after her death but reunited at the 6th Annual Yoga Unites for Living Beyond Breast Cancer. To celebrate their friend and honor her contributions, they soon established this monthly class at LifeSport in the Art Museum neighborhood. You are invited to participate and stretch your body, enhance your health and celebrate Rachel’s life.

LifeSport is located at 2112 Fairmount Avenue, across the street from the historic Eastern State Penitentiary.
