Travel scholarships and fee wavers are still available for our annual conference providing the information you need to make informed decisions about your health

Register today for the 2nd Annual Conference for Women Living with Advanced Breast Cancer: Enhancing Your Health and Quality of Life from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Philadelphia Marriott West in West Conshohocken, Pa.

The full-day program will feature the information, support and practical resources you need to make informed decisions for your physical and emotional health.

What You Will Learn

In the morning, plenary speaker Andrew D. Seidman, MD, will discuss medical and research news relevant to advanced breast cancer. Dr. Seidman is attending physician for the Breast Cancer Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and professor of medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. His research focuses on the management of advanced breast cancer.

Following the plenary, choose from workshops on topics including treatments, clinical trials, living with uncertainty, using nutrition to maintain well-being, workplace and insurance concerns, communicating with loved ones, end-of-life concerns and more.

After a plated lunch, closing speaker Steven Rosenzweig, MD, will explain how to use integrative and complementary approaches in managing symptoms and side effects. Dr. Rosenzweig focuses his private practice on helping people with cancer and other chronic illnesses by using integrative medicine to support, amplify and expand the benefits of conventional treatment alone. He is an associate professor at Drexel University College of Medicine, adjunct associate professor at Jefferson Medical College and past founding medical and academic director of the Jefferson Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine.
