How You Can Help
This October there are many ways you can support Living Beyond Breast Cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and beyond.
When you give time and funds to support LBBC, you make an immediate, positive difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer. Because of you, we can provide free services, information and support that help ensure no one living with breast cancer feels uninformed or alone.
Don’t forget that women are diagnosed with breast cancer every month of the year. You can sign up to make a monthly or recurring gift to make an even bigger impact.
For 12 years in a row, Living Beyond Breast Cancer has earned a four-star “exceptional” rating from Charity Navigator, an accolade only the top 1% of charities achieve. When you make a donation 84 cents of every dollar goes directly to our efforts of providing information and a community of support to those affected by breast cancer. You can also make a gift in memory or in honor of someone.
Help support our programs and services while you shop! These partners generously provide the financial resources necessary to ensure that all of our programs and services can be delivered for free to those in need. You’ll find lots of great apparel, jewelry, skincare and even pet accessories that allow us to help over 500,000 people a year.
It’s easy to use your talent and passion to raise awareness and funds for LBBC! We’re here to help. Fundraise in support of an existing LBBC event or get creative and host a “Do-It-Yourself” event within your circle of friends, at your office or in your community.
Whether you’re looking to give back in October or want to make a difference in July, we can use your help. Volunteer opportunities are available in our Bala Cynwyd office, at our conferences and fundraising events as well as remotely.
Supporting Living Beyond Breast Cancer is as easy as attending one of our many events. We invite you to join us at our annual Reach & Raise yoga event on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, our black-tie gala known as the Butterfly Ball, our two educational conferences each year and the various other events that our dedicated volunteers host.
Your support grows hope and community.
When I write my annual check to LBBC, it truly gives me joy … I was diagnosed in 1995 [and] the most empowering moment in my breast cancer experience was in the spring of that year when I attended my first LBBC conference. I walked in and saw a thousand other women. I knew no one, but I knew we were all connected and I no longer felt alone. I felt hopeful. I give to LBBC because I want others to gain that same hope and sense of community.
