Health, Wellness and Cancer
Join Balance CH and Living Beyond Breast Cancer for an evening dedicated to improving your health and quality of life. During this free program Dr. Pallav Mehta will provide an overview on some simple steps you can take to improve your health. Topics to be covered include:
- What does "good nutrition" really mean?
- How to make sense of supplements
- Understanding the role exercise can play in improving your quality of life and overall health
- How to use mindfulness to reduce stress, increase focus and energy
Dr. Mehta will be signing copies of his book, After Cancer Care at this event. Copies of the book will be available for sale. Attendees will receive a free class at Balance Chestnut Hill as well as a consultation with a personal trainer.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be exhibitors on site. Walk-ups are welcome and there is parking available onsite.
About Our Speaker:
Pallav K. Mehta, MD, is an oncologist, author, Balance CH member and former personal trainer. He is an attending physician in the division of hematology/oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper with expertise in breast cancer and integrative oncology practicing in the Philadelphia area. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, hematology and integrative medicine, and has been the cancer liaison physician to the Commission on Cancer (COC).
Dr. Mehta has served as a local principal investigator and developed a broad integrative medicine initiative aimed at people with cancer. He recently co-authored a book, After Cancer Care. Dr. Mehta is a member of Living Beyond Breast Cancer's Board of Directors.
