As associate director for corporate and foundation relations, Shehzin works closely with LBBC’s senior leadership team on donor relationships and funding activities. Her passion for the work at LBBC is driven by her personal diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer in 2015.
She became closely connected to LBBC as a volunteer, and is also an alumni of LBBC’s Young Advocate Program, where she learned the critical skills to become a more empowered advocate for herself and others facing breast cancer. She has also been engaged in breast cancer research and legislative policy advocacy with other breast cancer organizations.
Prior to joining the team at LBBC, Shehzin spent over 10 years in economic development for the state of Georgia, serving in the International Trade Division. In her various roles, she worked with businesses and startups on their international business strategy, helping them expand internationally. At LBBC, she combines her professional skills and personal passion towards fulfilling LBBC’s mission.
Shehzin received her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she also received her master of science in International Affairs.
Shehzin lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and daughter.
Being able to share valuable resources with women so that they can advocate for themselves and others inspires me. I feel inspired to raise funding for and awareness about LBBC every day.
