Dr. Bao was born and raised in Beijing, China. During her medical training, she pursued her interests in acupuncture and breast cancer research. In 2009, she became a joint faculty member at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center and Center for Integrative Medicine. In 2014, she moved to New York City and joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at the Integrative Medicine Service and Breast Cancer Medicine Service. Dr. Bao's long-term research goal is to integrate complementary and alternative medicine into oncology practice in order to improve oncology patients' quality of life and overall survival.
