DIY Fundraiser: Golf Tournament Honors Betsy Mae DeWallace, Supports LBBC

October 12, 2017

Love dinner parties? Bake sales? Climbing mountains? Give your passion a purpose by turning it into a DIY fundraiser for Living Beyond Breast Cancer. There are endless ways to get involved. For example, every October, the Betsy DeWallace Golf Tournament raises funds for LBBC while honoring Betsy Mae DeWallace, a loving mother, wife and friend who died from breast cancer in 2007. Below, Liz DeWallace, an organizer of the event, describes the tournament and explains why supporting LBBC is important to her.

WHO: Liz DeWallace
WHAT: 11th Annual Betsy DeWallace Charity Golf Tournament
WHEN: Saturday, October 7, 2017
WHERE: Stow Acres Country Club, Stow, Massachusetts

On October 7, 2017, we had 100 friends and family come together to raise money for LBBC and celebrate Betsy Mae's life in the Betsy Mae DeWallace Golf Tournament at Stow Acres Country Club. In addition to the monies raised from the golf tournament, we end the day with a major raffle table, with all proceeds donated to LBBC. The day is filled with love, laughter, competition, and fun. It’s an event we look forward to every year!

Living Beyond Breast Cancer is an amazing organization that provides remarkable support, information and education for those facing breast cancer. We are so excited to support this organization and spread the awareness to others.

DIY fundraisers are a wonderful way to work together with friends and family. The best part of DIY fundraiser events are the traditions created every year in honor of an important person, all while spreading breast cancer awareness!
