Coping with cancer: Expressing yourself through art and storytelling

Storytelling is the primary way we explore experiences to find acceptance, meaning and closure. Yet telling the story of your cancer experience is often complicated by the fact that it’s traumatizing. This experiential video explores art making, coupled with writing, as a process to help you express what you’ve been through by tapping into the less conscious aspects of your experience.

You don’t need to have any previous artistic experience or fancy supplies to benefit from this practice. Simply grab blank paper and whatever basic art supplies you have on hand to use – pens, pencils, markers, crayons, pastels, or watercolors.
