yoga
An ancient system of practices used to balance the mind and body through specific postures or poses, meditation (focusing thoughts), and control of breathing and emotions. Studies have shown that practicing yoga improves sleep quality and diminishes fatigue in people diagnosed with breast cancer. Yoga may also help reduce pain and improve mental health. Before beginning a yoga program, a person undergoing or recovering from breast cancer treatment should check with their doctor, learn what poses are safe for their specific physical limitations, find out the training level of their instructor, and choose a yoga style that best fits their needs.
