The Thriver Pose


The Thriver Pose is the unifying symbol of Lilly’s More for MBC initiative, representative of the strength of women and men with metastatic breast cancer. The Thriver Pose and flow were developed in collaboration with fitness experts and yoga instructors at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The flow includes the following movements. Please consult with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.

Shoulder Lift: Start with a deep breath and from here, lift your shoulders to lengthen and strengthen the spine

Heart Opener: Gently open the chest to channel love, compassion and acceptance

Cross Bow: Cross the arms over the chest and soften the heart center to stretch the muscles on the upper back and neck

Thriver Pose: With palms facing upwards, slowly lift softly bent arms and gaze toward the sky, as the heart center rises
