For more than a decade, CalExotics — one of the largest pleasure product manufacturers in the world — has supported Living Beyond Breast Cancer through our Shop to Support program, donating nearly $75,000. This year, CalExotics launched a new collection called Inspire. A portion of sales from this collection is donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Designed by women for women, the Inspire line features 11 sexual health and wellness products, including a dilator set, Kegel exerciser and intimate arouser. Though any woman can use the products, they may be especially likely to spark conversation among women with breast cancer who are facing sexual side effects of treatment, such as vaginal dryness and lack of desire.

“The positive effects of taking care of one’s sexual health are well documented and these products will help support women as they rebuild their sexual lives going forward,” says Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics.

Susan had the goal of helping people find pleasure when she started creating female-friendly intimate products over 20 years ago in an industry largely run by men. Susan revolutionized the pleasure product industry. She developed the first toys in pink and purple and packaged them to appeal to women and couples.

“CalExotics is a woman-owned company. One of our biggest concerns is improving women’s health. We want to align ourselves with partners who share our passion and are working hard to change the world,” says Susan. “We are so excited to be able to design and produce products that improve women’s sexual health and wellness with an organization like LBBC.”

The Inspire line debuted in January. Susan and CalExotics donated a portion of pre-order sales to Living Beyond Breast Cancer that totaled more than $18,000 over a 3-day period.

Some members of LBBC’s Young Advocate Program, which helps young women make a difference in their communities, got a gift from the line at an LBBC event. Ashleigh, a young advocate from Colorado, was excited to receive one.

“We all had a blast comparing our products and talking about how fun they’re going to be,” she says.
