YWI presents Love, Sex and Relationships: Body Acceptance After Diagnosis
For those attending in person, registration and refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. (MT). The program and livestream will begin at 7:00 p.m. (MT) / 9:00 p.m. (ET).
Having positive body image is hard enough in today’s world, but a breast cancer diagnosis can make it even harder. Presented by our Young Women’s Initiative, this program will explore the way young women cope with body image changes after diagnosis and breast cancer’s impact on self-esteem, emotional and sexual health, and dating and relationships.
Our panel of healthcare professionals and young women with breast cancer will discuss how to deal with body image issues in the digital age, the impact of social media on body acceptance and how to see your body’s strength and beauty after diagnosis. This interactive event will feature a panel discussion. Questions will be taken throughout the program. Both in-person and web stream audiences will be able to text their questions to the moderator.
