Returning to the workforce after a breast cancer diagnosis can be both a challenging and exciting time. It can restore a feeling of normalcy, distract you from medical issues and help build your social networks while earning needed income and providing health insurance coverage. Whether you left your job during treatment, have decided to change careers after your diagnosis or are seeking a job for the first time, this hands on workshop will help prepare you for the job search, interviews and beyond.

During this workshop our guest speaker, Caitlin Garozzo from Career Wardrobe, will provide tips and advice to help you:

•    Update your resume and explain employment gaps if needed
•    Use your networks and social media to find your next job
•    Dress for interviews and work during and after treatment
•    Adjust to a new workplace culture
•    Understand your employment rights

About our speaker
Caitlin Garozzo
Caitline Garozzo is program manager at Career Wardrobe where she oversees all of the organization’s programs for women transitioning to work. Two of her accomplishments include developing a new job readiness curriculum for Career Wardrobe and strengthening Career Wardrobe’s relationships within the Philadelphia communities.

The event is free and includes dinner. A family member, friend or caregiver is welcomed and encouraged to join you. Free parking and SEPTA tokens will be made available for participants as needed. For questions or to register by phone, call (855) 807-6386.

Back to Work After Breast Cancer is a free, two-part workshop series to help you re-enter the workforce after diagnosis and to navigate common workplace issues such as employment rights, communicating with your supervisor and co-workers and much more. You may attend one or both sessions. The first 40 people to attend both sessions will receive a special gift courtesy of our friends at White House Black Market.
