Strength in Stories: Virtual Celebration
Strength in Stories, a virtual celebration of Living Beyond Breast Cancer, took place on Saturday, November 7, full of toasts and stories from our resilient community. Thanks to the generous support of our Strengh in Stories sponsors and attendees, we raised over $450,000!

The funds raised during this event are helping us to offer women diagnosed with early stage and metastatic breast cancer with:
- Knowledge and Emotional Support. We offer ongoing and up to date digital content to help those newly diagnosed and in treatment understand their medical options, and learn new tactics for emotional self-care and well-being.
- A sense of belonging. Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s supportive peer communities are very active through our Breast Cancer Helpline and closed Facebook groups so that no one feels alone.
- Financial support. To date, the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Fund has offered financial grants to over 260 women this year in treatment to help pay for basic needs such as rent and utilities. These grants relieve unneeded stress, particularly for families also facing economic duress because of Covid-19.
A special thank you to our national presenting sponsor, Daiichi-Sankyo, whose commitment to the breast cancer community is described by their Head of Global Patient Advocacy for Oncology, Gissoo DeCotiis:
I've observed the power of this community to connect and support women and men so that they feel less alone and more empowered to advocate for themselves and others along their journey.
