Barbara J. Yorke joined Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s board of directors in 2011. She is a senior executive with over 20 years experience helping people and organizations be high performers.

Throughout her career, Ms. Yorke has worked to help build and implement global capabilities resulting in effective and efficient business operations. An expert in streamlining business processes and implementing integrated organizational models, Ms. Yorke excels in identifying business operational improvements and implementing corrective actions and solutions. She has a passion for people development and leadership coaching for her colleagues and team members.

She has left her mark at Wyeth, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Daiichi-Sankyo and Bayer, where her strategic planning and customer relationship management skills helped her to drive innovation at the highest levels for these leading health care organizations. As a partner in Accenture’s Life Sciences Consulting practice, Barbara sponsored leadership and diversity initiatives.

During that time, she has also offered her skill set and leadership to many nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia region. In addition to serving on LBBC’s board of directors, she has been involved with the William Way Community Center, LiveStrong Challenge/Lance Armstrong Foundation, Daniel Howard Foundation, Grace Presbyterian Church and Abington Memorial Hospital Foundation Innovators Circle.

Barbara lives in Abington, Pennsylvania, with her husband Paul, and her two children, Christopher and Nicole.
