Breast Cancer helpline
Breast Cancer Helpline
When you're ready to talk, we're ready to listen.
The Breast Cancer Helpline connects you to a trained volunteer who has been diagnosed with breast cancer for emotional support, guidance, and hope. Whether you are recently diagnosed, in treatment, years beyond treatment, living with metastatic breast cancer, or a loved one—you are not alone, we’re here to help.
The Breast Cancer Helpline provides compassionate conversations with someone who understands. In addition to listening to you and discussing your feelings and concerns, our volunteers can direct you to resources such as support groups, wigs, and financial help.
How it works
Tell us about yourself.
We match you to a trained volunteer.
Your match will contact you.
You can either complete our online match form or call us at (888) 753-5222 to tell us about yourself and the kind of support you are seeking. Based on this information, we will match you with one of our trained volunteers. Within two business days, your matched volunteer will contact you. Please note that this timeline may be delayed during holidays.
Please be aware that the Breast Cancer Helpline is not a crisis hotline. If you feel hopeless and helpless and think you are in danger of hurting yourself, we strongly encourage you to call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling 988 or (800) 273-8255. This hotline provides free and confidential emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
My peer match was lovely and empathetic with a warm personality. I was grateful to speak with someone who understood my situation and could share their journey.
About our volunteers
Our trained volunteers are not medical professionals, but they have had personal experience with breast cancer and have volunteered their time to help support other people who are going through what they’ve gone through. We have over 50 women trained and ready to help you.
All conversations are confidential. Your details will only be shared with your matched volunteer to help personalize your conversation.
There is no cost for this service. We are a non-profit organization funded by donations and sponsorships.
