Roxanne Martinez is a community advocate and was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer 5 years ago. At the age of 30, she had a mastectomy and chemotherapy while pregnant. Professionally, she is the founder/president of Roxstar Marketing. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her family.

Roxanne founded the Simply the Breast Support Network, a local breast cancer support group and transformed her personal network of supporters, Team Roxy, into a community organization dedicated to helping women tackle breast cancer. She shares her story and helps educate the community about breast cancer. Her personal story has been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Hope and Healing for Your Breast Cancer Journey  and featured by Coping With Cancer, Breast Cancer Wellness, Women’s Health, USAToday and The New York Times.

Roxanne serves as co-chair of the Tarrant County Cancer Disparities Coalition. She was recently named Breast Cancer Advocate of the Year by Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine and Community Advocate of the Year by Living Beyond Breast Cancer. She serves as a Triple Negative Day Champion for Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation and as a volunteer breast health educator for Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth.
