Elissa was interested in offering mentorship to women with MBC to self-advocate and engage in self-care. She was also interested in being a research advocate and advising scientific panels for MBC research.
Elissa had a nursing and public health career, with experience creating health care programs for vulnerable populations. Nature, dogs, people, creating community, meditation, art projects, traveling, and exploring other cultures and foods brought her joy.
I hope working with LBBC will empower me and provide a forum to touch lives impacted by MBC. I want to help thrivers handle all aspects of life, normalize MBC to the public, and advocate for scientific breakthroughs, policies, and access to care to improve our lives.
