Sheila Pettiford Bell
Sheila wants to be informed and inform others about treatment options available for patients with MBC. She also wants to address the barriers for African American women and other women of color under 40 receiving appropriate screenings for breast cancer.
Sheila is a former realtor, public/private school teacher, and licensed health agent. Her personal relationship with God, her daughter, granddaughters, and family bring her joy, as well as helping others and walking on a beach while viewing a sunrise or sunset.
I intend to use the precious time I have been given by God living with advanced breast cancer to help the breast cancer community navigate through a difficult and potentially terminal illness with dignity and hope.
