- LBBC Young Advocate 2023
Emily’s primary interests lie in empowering women to learn and understand their breast cancer risk, improving access to life-saving healthcare services, and assisting women in navigating the complex healthcare system.
Professionally, she is a physical therapist specializing in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. When she is not working, Emily loves connecting with friends and family over a good meal or a cup of coffee, as well as enjoying the great outdoors on a hike, or while traveling to new places. Listening to live music, strolling through an art museum, and country-western dancing bring her joy.
I hope my work with LBBC will empower other young women to advocate for themselves, tell their stories, and to feel supported by this community in the process. Getting a cancer diagnosis at a young age is isolating and lonely, but it doesn’t have to be when you find a community of women who have been in your shoes.
