  • Young women’s advocate

I hope to learn the myriad of ways to advocate for others, and to teach other young women in my community to learn how to, and why they should, advocate for themselves.

Miranda Gonzales

Miranda’s primary advocacy interest is helping to serve and teach underrepresented communities, including people of color and those who are under- or uninsured, the power of speaking up for themselves, and the need to demand proper care that isn’t available and/or offered to them. Miranda has been a stay-at-home mom for 15 years, which has allowed her to be an excellent organizer and multitasker. Since going through breast cancer treatment, what brings her joy is people. She loves connecting with someone newly diagnosed and supporting them to the end of active treatment.
