Amy Battaglia

general_content

Amy worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years and most recently as an area manager for medical spas. She has stopped working, however, to focus on her health.

Amy was diagnosed with stage III, ER positive breast cancer in both breasts just a few weeks shy of her 45th birthday in 2021. Her treatment plan included eight rounds of chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node removal and expanders, implant exchange surgery, and finally 25 rounds of proton therapy. She completed treatment on October 19, 2022, which happens to be Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day and celebrated by walking as a model in the BRA fashion show that night.

Amy now takes tamoxifen daily. She is focusing on regaining her strength and mobility after treatment. She wants to help women going through a breast cancer experience to know that they are supported and loved. No one fights alone!
