Alexis started her nursing career as a neonatal intensive care nurse in 2016. She found passion for continuity of care at the bedside for her patients and began doing homecare for one of her NICU graduates. She then transitioned to coordinating care for lung nodule patients, COPD and asthma patients receiving biologic therapy, and post-COVID patients who required additional long-term respiratory support at home.
While in the position of RN navigator, Alexis has found the greatest joy through getting to know breast cancer patients, finding community resources and education for patients, and working with a multi-disciplinary team of nurse practitioners, social workers, registered dieticians, physicians, and other patient liaisons. She is passionate about assisting patients, no matter the type of treatment required, or how extensive their needs prove to be.
At home, Alexis is married to her best friend, Steve, and together they have three children. Alexis and her husband enjoy doing puzzles, playing video games, having family board game nights, and spending quality time as a family.
